The Police on Thursday evening arrested the prime suspect, who was identified as 49-year-old Reggie Ramsammy called “Bai”.

The eyewitness noted that Jailall refused to heed the warning when the suspect allegedly picked up a knife and stabbed the man to his shoulder, arm, neck, ear and other parts of his body.

Jailall collapsed and the suspect fled the scene but was subsequently arrested.

Meanwhile,Jailall’s sister, Dhanmattie Rampersaud, who arrived at the scene shortly after learning of her brother’s sudden demise, said she was shocked and in disbelief since it was only Wednesday last that “Shetty” visited her house; however, she was not at home.

She said he left a message indicating that he really wanted to see his 14-year-old son and that he would return the very next day; instead, she received news of his death.
