A mason was Friday arrested after a quantity of cannabis was found at his Thomas Street, Kitty, Georgetown home.
According to the police, acting on information received, ranks went to the man’s home and conducted a search for narcotics in his presence.
During the search, the ranks found two transparent plastic parcels containing a total of 4,924 grams of cannabis.
Meanwhile, in a separate case, an unlicensed automatic pistol and 45 grams of cannabis were discovered inside of a camp at Vriesland Sea Dam, West Bank Demerara.
Investigations are ongoing into both incidents.
