As part of its planned activities to celebrate its 75th Anniversary, the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) recently distributed several boxes of meals to the poor and less fortunate in and around the city of Georgetown.

Staff of the Board were part of the exercise, which targeted street dwellers.

The Anniversary celebration activities commenced with the launching of the grand raffle, which is scheduled to be drawn on November 18, 2018, during the last match of the ICC Women’s World T20 Cup in Guyana.

There will be another special consolation drawing on July 25, 2018, during the West Indies and Bangladesh ODI at Providence.

The GCB also held a Prayer Breakfast last Friday at the GCC Members Pavillion as part of the observances.

“There are several other activities being planned to be held throughout the remainder of this year which will be announced in due course,” the GCB said in a release.
