Minibus Conductor charged with sexual assault
A minibus conductor was on Monday released on $30,000 bail for the offence of sexual assault.
Roy Nedd appeared before Chief Magistrate, Ann McLennan, where it is alleged that he touched the private area of a Chinese national, who was crossing the road at the time.
Nedd denied that on March 12,2018 at Regent and Camp Street, Georgetown he touched the 21-year-old woman in a sexual way without her consent.
The minibus conductor had initially entered a guilty plea but when he was told that the offence attracts a 5-year jail sentence, he changed his plea to not guilty.
The accused is slated to return to court on May 29, 2018.
