Prisoner hospitalised after fight
A prisoner at the Camp Street Prison was on Saturday hospitalised at the Georgetown Public Hospital after he was found with what appeared to be swelling to the face.
Gladwyn Samuels, Director of Prisons (ag), said Shawn Thom was relocated from one area to another at the Prisons after he stabbed another prisoner with a mop stick on Friday, May 25.
However, checks were made on Saturday when it was noticed that his face was swelling.
The matter was reported to the police for further investigation, the Prison Director said.
