    West Indies thrashed the Rest of the World XI by 72 runs in the Hurricane Relief T20 match at Lord’s on Thursday. West Indies batted first and posted 199-4 with Evin Lewis launching the innings with five sixes and five fours in 58 off 26.

    Denesh Ramdin cracked 44 not out off 25 and Marlon Samuels 43 off 22, while Andre Russell smashed three sixes in 21 off 10. Chris Gayle struggled for his 18 off 28 and Andre Fletcher made seven.

    Rashid Khan took 2-48 for the Rest of the World XI, who never recovered from being 4-8, eventually being limited to 127-9. Thisara Perera made 61 off 37, as no one else got past 12.

    Kesrick Williams claimed 3-42, Samuel Badree 2-4 and Andre Russell 2-25.

    Proceeds from the match will go towards rebuilding and renovating five major Caribbean venues as well as other community cricket facilities that were damaged by Hurricanes Irma and Maria.

    The venues that will benefit include Ronald Webster Park in Anguilla, Sir Viv Richards Stadium, Antigua, Windsor Park Stadium in Dominica, Cancryn Cricket Grounds, in the U.S. Virgin Islands and Carib Lumber Ball Park in St. Maarten.
