‘Otiesha’ charged with rape of boy

Otis ‘Otiesha’ Pearson was today charged with engaging in sexual activity with a 14-year-old boy.

Pearson appeared before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly and was not required to plea to the charge.

The charge read that on December 24, 2017, at Station Street, Kitty he caused the 14-year-old boy to perform a sexual act; that is to say, penetrate his anus. The charge amounts to statutory rape since the boy is below the age of consent.

He was represented by Attorney-at-law Ronald Burch-Smith.

Magistrate Daly released Pearson on $300,000 bail and transferred the matter to Chief Magistrate, Ann McLennan for June 19.

Reports stated that the Child Care and Protection Agency (CC&PA) in February closed its investigation into the alleged misconduct by Pearson, who was very vocal on social media that he “has a young boy for every day of the week”.

Pearson said that his statement was misinterpreted and he denied having sexual relations with “little boys.”

However, a photograph later appeared with Pearson in the company of a young boy.
