A 22-year-old vendor died at the Georgetown Public Hospital last night hours after he was stabbed during a confrontation with a man at Stabroek Market, Georgetown.
Dead is Richmond Noel of William Street, Kitty, Georgetown; police are on the hunt for the suspect, who has been identified as Timothy McKenzie of Thomas Street, Kitty.
News Room understands that the suspect had assaulted Noel’s sister, which led to a heated argument, during which McKenzie allegedly stabbed the young man to the left side of his chest.
Noel collapsed and was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation in an unconscious state. The incident occurred at approximately 13:30hrs and at around 21:00hrs, Noel died from his injuries.
