Hurdler Jenea McCammon on Wednesday bagged Guyana’s fourth bronze medal at the South American Games in Bolivia.

Competing in the Women’s 110m Hurdles event, McCammon clocked 13.39 seconds, finishing behind Venezuela’s Genesis Josianne Romero Fernandez (13.08s) and Peru’s Diana Carolina Bazalar Alava (13.36s).

McCammon joined athlete Winston George and boxers Keevin Allicock and Colin ‘Superman’ Lewis as Guyana’s bronze medal winners at the event.

Competing in the Men’s 400m, George was timed at 45.67s, finishing behind gold medallist Lucas Da Silva Carvalho (45.61s) of Brazil and Yilmar Andres Herrera Madera (45.64s) of Colombia, who copped silver.

Allicock, the 2017 Junior Sportsman-of-the-Year, could not get past Carlos Alanis of Argentina in the semi-finals of the 56kg Class. Lewis also suffered defeat at the semi-finals, losing out to John Agudelo of Colombia in the 64kg Class.
