A Corentyne Rice Farmer is currently in Police custody following allegations that he raped a 9-year-old girl.
According to reports, the man who is said to be in his early sixties, allegedly molested the child while she was at his house on June 6.
News Room understands that the child would usually visit the businessman’s home, which is located in close proximity to her house.
A report was made to the police after a sibling told a teacher that the man would touch the young girl inappropriately.
The businessman remains in police custody as investigations continue.
