The Corentyne Businessman /Rice Farmer who was arrested for the alleged rape of a nine-year-old girl was placed on $100,000 station bail.
The incident allegedly occurred on Wednesday last while the child was at the man’s home.
News Room understands that a teacher acted on a report made by a sibling that the said man would often touch his sister on her “privates.”
An official report was made to the Police and a medical examination was done which confirmed that the child was sexually assaulted.
News Room understands that the file was sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for advice and the police hope to close the investigation by the end of the week.
