UPDATE: Conflicting reports surround death of woman

Conflicting reports have emerged about what could have led to the death of a 19-year-old woman from Pomeroon, Essequibo.

Sasia Adams, who lived at East Street, Georgetown, succumbed to serious head injuries at a private city hospital around 11:25hrs on Tuesday.

Her 21-year-old boyfriend, who had rushed her to the hospital for medical treatment on Sunday, is in police custody assisting with investigations.

A family member told News Room that the young man related two different stories about how Adams received her injuries.

One of the accounts is that the young lady fell down at her home; the other is that she fell out of a moving car.

There are allegations that the young man might have hit Adams in the head, causing her to fall out of the vehicle.

News Room understands that the woman was in an unconscious state when she was admitted a patient and up to the time of her demise, she was on life support.

The family member is hoping that more answers about Adams’ death will be revealed when the autopsy is conducted.

Adams is a former student of the Anna Regina Multilateral School and she was employed at the Princess Ramada Hotel, Providence, East Bank of Demerara.
