Cristiano Ronaldo scored a sensational late free-kick to round off his hat-trick and salvage a 3-3 draw for Portugal against Spain in a captivating match four of the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The Portugal captain put his side ahead with an early penalty (4th minute) and restored their lead just before half-time (44th). Diego Costa twice equalised with well-taken goals (24th and 55th), with Nacho’s majestic goal appearing to have won it for Spain in the 58th minute.
But Ronaldo stepped up in the 88th minute to fire into the top-right corner with two minutes remaining to secure the draw in Sochi. (BBC Sport)
