A Hadfield Street, Lodge Georgetown businessman is counting his losses after a man he earlier hired to cut the branches off a coconut tree in his yard, returned later in the evening and robbed him at gunpoint.

News Room understands that 41-year-old Shawn Ramai was at home on Tuesday at around 22:00hrs when the suspect and the female accomplice rapped on his door.

Ramai opened the door when he was confronted by the duo who was armed with a handgun. They ransacked the house and escaped with $65,000 in cash; a gold ring valued at $50,000 and a Blu cell phone.

Reports indicate that the businessman recognized the male suspect as the same person he hired earlier Tuesday to cut the branches off the coconut tree.
