Guyana has been confirmed to host five matches in this year’s Hero Caribbean Premier League; ticket sales will start in the first week of July.

The confirmation came moments ago as Sport Minster Dr. George Norton and Guyana Amazon Warriors Operation Manager Omar Khan inked the agreement for the usage of the National Stadium, Providence, for matches in the 2018 tournament, in the presence of officials of the Ministry and Director of Sport Christopher Jones.

The tournament will run from August 8 to September 16.

Guyana Amazon Warriors will play their first of five matches at Providence on August 9 against St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots; St Lucia Stars (August 11); Barbados Tridents (August 12); Jamaica Tallawahs (September 8) and defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders on September 9.

Regarding the playoff matches on September 11 and 12, Khan explained that confirmation of venues for those matches will come at a later date.

The signing took place at the Minster’s Main Street Office.
