A 5.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Trinidad and Tobago on Friday night. The earthquake which occurred just 98 kilometres west of Trinidad and Tobago was also recorded in Venezuela.
According to the University of the West Indies (UWI) Seismic Research Centre, the earthquake occurred 98 kilometres west of Trinidad and 94 kilometres East of Venezuela.
Several Guyanese have also posted on their social media pages that they have felt slight effects of the earthquake.
