KFC supports Martial Arts Championship

Korean International Martial Arts Guyana, in collaboration with a host of partners, will in July host the third Guyana, South America Undiscovered Martial Arts Championship and Health and Fitness Expo at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.

Corporate support continues to stream in for the three-day event, set for July 20-22, with Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) the latest company to come onboard.

During a small presentation ceremony at the company’s head office, Roland Eudoxie, the Chairman of Korean International, stated that KFC was willing from the start to offer support to this initiative.

“Korean International would like to thank KFC for being a major sponsor and the sponsorship will definitely add to the success of this event in July,” he said.

Livasti Bhooplall, Marketing Manager for KFC Guyana, indicated that company is excited to be associated with youth development.

“Martial Arts and sports in particular are avenues that instill discipline in our youths and we wish Korean International the very best with the competition. In addition to the monetary support of this initiative, KFC will also offer five youths the opportunity to benefit from Martial Arts training programme in Guyana,” she said.

The event will see participation from Guyana, Suriname, USA, Grenada, Brazil, Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago. Also slated to appear at the event are Billy Blanks, Master Art Camacho and KJN Eric Kovaleski.

Other corporate partners are Guyana Undiscovered, Ministry of Business- Department of Tourism, Farfan and Mendes Limited Group of Companies, Readymix Concrete Limited, Hand-in-Hand Mutual Fire and Life Insurance Companies, Guyana Oil Company, Winedays and the National Sports Commission.
