A male sex worker was remanded to prison today for armed robbery by Magistrate Leron Daly.
Godfrey Cox, 19, of High Street, Georgetown denied that on June 20, 2018, at King and Charlotte Streets, Georgetown while being armed with a knife, he robbed David Harry of $65,000.
Police Prosecutor Sanj Singh objected to the teen being released on bail on the grounds that the defendant has similar matters before the court.
Singh noted that on the day in question, Harry was walking along King Street when he was approached by Cox, who placed a knife to his neck and relieved him of his money.
The young man did not have legal representation and was remanded to prison until July 20.
