Taxi Driver robbed of car in Eccles

A Taxi Driver of James and Hogg Streets Albouystown, Georgetown was on Monday night robbed of his Silver Grey Allion car.

According to information reaching News Room, 27-year-old Muhamed Edun was sitting at R and J taxi service located at BB Eccles, East Bank Demerara where he works.

According to reports, at around 21:40hrs, Edun was approached by a man who requested to be taken to Industrial site, Eccles, in the vicinity of the dumpsite.

It is alleged that the man, while in the back seat of the car, HC 2675, pulled out a dark coloured object which he placed to the victim’s face and instructed him not to move or he will die. 

News Room was told that a Silver Grey Raum then drove up alongside the car and a male exited and ordered Edun to disembark. The victim exited the car and ran into some nearby bushes.

The men made good their escape.
