Bandits terrorise family, 11-month old baby in Kuru Kururu

A 36-year-old businessman is in a stable condition at a city hospital with chop wounds about his body after three masked men broke into his Kuru Kururu, Soesdyke, Linden Highway home in the wee hours of Saturday and attacked him and his family.

 

 

Andrew Seabro and his wife Rebekah – both poultry farmers – were asleep when Rebekah woke up and was confronted by the bandits, who were armed with a shotgun and a cutlass, at around 01:30hrs.

 

 

News Room understands that the bandits demanded money and threatened to shoot her. The young mother was placed on the floor with her 11-month old baby, while they assaulted her husband with the cutlass.

 

The businessman was chopped to his left hand and upper body.

 

Andrew’s mother, a 53-year-old  pensioner was also physically assaulted by the bandits.

 

After terrorising the family for about 10 minutes, the bandits escaped with $200,000 in cash; a purple Lenovo laptop; an iPhone; a black Samsung J2 Prime cell phone; a Blu cell phone and a red and black generator.
