Bicycle bandits shoot at victims in Agricola
Police are on the hunt for two males who shot at and robbed their victims while at a vulcanizing shop at Agricola, East Bank Demerara Monday morning.
News Room understands that 50-year-old Lorna Carrington was at the shop to patch a tyre on her car with a male friend at around 09:45hrs when two men on separate bicycles attacked her.
They stole her gold chain valued at $10,000 and two gold rings both valued at $40,000.
Police said that the male friend, who was inside the shop, confronted the bandits when one of them discharged a round.
They then escaped into an alleyway. Police combed the area but could not locate the bandits.
Investigators recovered an empty .32 spent shell at the scene.
