One day after they went missing, the body of 15-year-old Timothy Robinson washed ashore Tuesday night at the Hope Beach Foreshore on the East Coast of Demerara (ECD) while his 10-year-old cousin Timothy Yearwood is still missing.

Both boys hailed from Mosquito Hall, Mahaica, ECD.

Family members were inconsolable at Hope Beach last night as they screamed and rolled in the sand following the discovery of Robinson’s body.

It is suspected that the boys drowned while swimming at Unity Beach, Mahaica.

News Room understands that Robinson’s sister, Marcie and other relatives launched a search for the cousins when they found his clothing at Unity Beach and filed a report with the police.

On Tuesday afternoon, two fishermen were returning from the Atlantic when they discovered the body of Robinson floating. They subsequently reported the matter to a passing police patrol.

With the use of a fishing vessel, police brought Robinson’s body to land. Police said no marks of violence were found on his body.  The body was taken to the Lyken Funeral Parlor where it awaits a Post Mortem Examination.

EDITOR’S NOTE: This story initially stated that the body of Yearwood was found at the Kitty foreshore. However, relatives told News Room that they received reports that the body was at Kitty but when they arrived, it turned out not to be true and the search continues for Yearwood.
