Rosignol woman beaten to death by reputed husband

A 62-year-old man has been arrested after he confessed that he killed his partner of three months by beating her with pieces of wood and an iron bar because his meals were not properly cooked.
Dead is Shabana Babita Ishack, 40, of Rosignol, West Bank Berbice.
According to reports, between Tuesday and Wednesday, the man repeatedly beat the woman with a wood until she collapsed.
About 02:00h Wednesday, neighbours heard the victim screaming but they went over just after dawn and discovered her lifeless body with multiple injuries.
The body is presently at Bailey’s Funeral Home awaiting a post-mortem examination.
