Tickets sales for the two One-Day Internationals (ODIs) between West Indies and Bangladesh at the National Stadium, Providence, will commence on July 16. Confirmation of this was given to News Room on Tuesday by an official from the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB).

Providence has been designated for the first two ODIs on July 22 and 25. The first match will be a day game starting at 09:30h, while match two will be a day/night affair, commencing at 14:30h.

The official further stated the prices are likely to be the same as those from the previous three-match series with Pakistan in April 2017, but confirmation will be given at a later date.

Tickets for that series were priced at $4,000 for Red and Green Stands, $3,000 for Orange Stand and $2,000 for the Grass Mound.  The main retail out was the GCB’s office, Regent Street, Bourda.

Bangladesh and Windies have never played against each other in ODIs at Providence

While Bangladesh played an ODI at Providence during the 2007 World Cup, they have not faced the hosts at the venue in the format. In 13 ODIs at Providence, it has been a mixed bag for the men in maroon, winning six and losing seven.

The Asian side started their tour with a horrendous innings and 219-run defeat inside three days at North Sound, Antigua, and are hoping to make amends in the second and final Test, which starts on Thursday in Kingston, Jamaica.

However, they are expected to pose a greater threat to the home side in the white-ball version, given they are ranked seventh, ahead of Sri Lanka and the hosts.

After action in Guyana, the final ODI will played in St Kitts, which also hosts the first Twenty20 International; they then head to Fort Lauderhill, Florida, for the remaining two matches.
