A 24-year-old Labourer was today granted $170,000 bail by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan for engaging in sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old girl.
David Europe was not required to plea to the charge, which alleged that on January 22, 2018, at Craig, East Bank Demerara he engaged in sexual penetration with a child under the age of 16.
He did not have legal representation and the case was adjourned to July 18. The court heard that the teenager found Europe in her bedroom during which he held her down and had forcibly had sex with her.
