Police Force denies storming of Rose Hall Outpost

The Guyana Police Force is denying that “bandits” attempted to storm the Rose Hall Town Police Outpost but would only confirm that “a person or persons unknown cut a hole in the fence which was discovered by an armed policeman on duty.”

In a brief statement issued on Sunday evening in response to the News Room article, the Police Force said that the article created “unnecessary discomfort” in the country.

News Room understands that at around 1:00am today, the men gained entry to the compound by cutting a hole in the back fence

The contents of the News Room article were confirmed by at least two senior police officers of the Guyana Police Force.

News Room reported that at around 1:00am today, the men gained entry to the compound by cutting a hole in the back fence with the intention of stealing high powered weapons which were reportedly stored at the Outpost.
