Two teenage boys were on Monday charged before the Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan with the alleged rape of an 11-year-old girl.

Caozuyag Menuy, 18, and a 15-year-old were jointly charged with the rape which occurred sometime between October 1 and October 31, 2017 at Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara (EBD).

The teens were not required to plea to the indictable charge and were represented by attorney-at-law Paul Fung-a-Fatt.

The Chief Magistrate released the two teens on $70,000 bail and the matter is adjourned until July 27. According to reports, a 13-year-old boy will be charged soon for the same allegation.

The prosecution’s facts stated that during the month of October 2017, the three boys allegedly held the 11-year-old girl in a house and inserted their fingers into her while feeling all over her body.

The little girl then told her mother and the matter was reported to the police.
