Vendor robbed of gold jewellery in West Ruimveldt
Police are on the hunt for two men who attacked and robbed 52-year-old Desmond Gordon at about 8:15pm Friday while he was crossing the West Ruimveldt bridge which joins Front Road and Laing Avenue.
Police said that the Vendor was robbed of three gold chains valued $210,000 and two gold rings valued at $70,000 by two masked men, both of whom were armed with guns.
News Room understands that the gunmen escaped in a Southern direction and joined a silver Toyota Spacio motorcar that had no number plate.
No one has been arrested and investigations are ongoing.
