A motorist lost his life late Monday after his vehicle crashed into a parked lorry on the Yarrowkabra Public Road, Soesdyke/Linden Highway, Police headquarters reported.
Dead is 24-year-old Ryan Wilson of 982 Diamond, East Bank Demerara.
According to the Police, Wilson was driving motor car PWW 1114, allegedly at a fast rate, heading south when he crashed into a parked lorry, with registration number GPP 2777.
He was taken out of his mangled vehicle by those nearby and he was rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre in an unconscious state, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Wilson’s body is presently at the Lyken’s Funeral Home awaiting a post-mortem examination.
The driver of the lorry, of Kuru Kururu Soesdyke/Linden Highway, was reportedly standing outside of his vehicle when the accident occurred. He is in custody assisting with the investigations.
