Three charged for robbery at Chinese store
Three men were on Wednesday charged with breaking into a Chinese store along Alexander Street, Georgetown and stealing $4.6M worth in items.
Those charged were: Paul Roberts, 36, of Alexander Village; Martin Murray, 41, of Charlotte Street; and Troy Holmes, 41, of South Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
They appeared in court before Magistrate Fabayo Azore and denied the joint charge.
It is alleged that between July 20-21, 2018 at Alexander Street, they broke and entered the store of Zon Hung Fu and stole 100 backpacks with items amounting to $4.6M.
The prosecution made no objection to bail and the men were released on $75,000 bail each.
The matter was adjourned to August 15.
