A 40-year-old man of Laing Avenue was arrested shortly after he and an accomplice robbed a Nicaraguan doctor at Croal Street, Bourda.
The doctor was robbed of cash and several documents by two men on a scooter around 10:00hrs this morning, police said.
Ranks subsequently arrested one of the suspects at Leopold Street and the man admitted to only aided in the escape of the other perpetrator.
A .38 revolver was found in the man’s possession.
Police say the suspect received minor injuries as he was trying to escape when ranks were about to detain him.
Efforts are being made to apprehend the other suspect.
