Police are investigating the death of a 28-year-old mason whose body was Monday found floating in a trench at Craig Side Line dam on the East Bank of Demerara (EBD).
According to information received, Kevin Ketwaroo was involved in a fight with a group of unknown persons prior to his demise.
A Post Mortem on Wednesday found that Ketwaroo called “Wild Buck” of Friendship, also EBD, died from blunt trauma to head and compression to the neck.
The body was found by passersby who telephoned the Grove Police Station. He was later identified by his sister Moreen McCalmon and brother Adrian Ketwaroo.
News Room understands that McCalmon told investigators that she last saw her brother on August 01 at about 07:00hrs when he visited her home and borrowed $1,000 and left.
The man, who separated from his wife approximately one month ago, resided alone.
