Police are investigating the discovery of a man’s body which was found floating in a trench at Canal Number One, West Bank Demerara on Friday.
News Room understands that the unidentifiable East Indian male was clothed in a orange T-shirt, a three-quarter cream cargo pants and a black hat.
Police said he was floating face down in the middle of the trench which runs from east to west.
The body was escorted to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where the man was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body is presently at the Ezekiel funeral home awaiting identification and a post mortem examination.
