Trafficked females rescued from Linden Bar – police

Two females, believed to be victims of human trafficking, were rescued from a Hotel and Bar in Wismar, Linden.

Police Headquarters said the women, both foreign nationals, were allegedly held against their will by the owner of the establishment, who has since been arrested.

The owner was taken into custody about 21:30hrs Thursday pending the investigation of alleged trafficking in persons, police said.

Meanwhile, the victims were handed over to officials of the Counter Trafficking in Persons Unit at the Ministry of Social Protection.
