Votes still counting at PNCR Congress, Jones confident of clinching Vice Chair

The votes are still being tallied at the People’s National Congress Reform (PNC/R) 20th Biennial Congress but Party member, Christopher Jones who is vying for the position of Vice Chair, is confident of grabbing the third highest position of the party.

News Room understands that a total of 829 votes were cast.

Jones is up against long-serving members James Bond, Annette Ferguson, Winston Felix, Cosbert Roberts, George Norton, Joseph Harmon, and Volda Lawrence for the two Vice Chair positions.

In an interview with the media at about 20:40hrs today, Jones said the process was a “smooth” one.

“I am confident of clinching one of the Vice Chair position based on the work I have done and based on the sentiments of the delegates on the floor between yesterday and today,” Jones told reporters.

The process is expected to conclude by 22:00hrs.
