A 47-year-old man was released on $300,000 bail after he was accused of raping a 16-year-old girl.
Jegede Hodge appeared before Chief Magistrate, Ann McLennan on Tuesday at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court where the matter was held in camera. He was not required to plea to the charge.
It is alleged that between September 1, 2017, and September 30, 2017, he engaged in sexual penetration with a child.
He was represented by Attorney-at-law Eusi Anderson who made an application for reasonable bail.
The case is adjourned to September 13. Hodge was also ordered to keep away from the victim.
