Kevin Adams appeared before Magistrate Leron Daly today, charged with the armed robbery of Rennard Khan.
Adams pleaded not guilty to the charge which alleged that on September 3, 2018, at Houston Access Road, East Bank Demerara, he was armed with a knife and robbed Khan of an HTC cell phone valued at $40,000.
Police Prosecutor, Sanj Singh told the court that when Adams was arrested he took the police and the victim to a location where he hid the phone.
Prosecutor Singh objected to Adams being granted his pretrial liberty on the grounds that he is a repeat offender and has prior convictions.
He was remanded until October 3, 2018.
