A 34-year-old Carmichael Street, Georgetown man has reported that his black Toyota Rav 4 – PWW 3234 – vehicle was stolen from the VIP parking lot of the Guyana National Stadium sometime between Saturday night and in the wee hours of Sunday morning.
Police Headquarters reported that the man drove the vehicle to the Stadium to enjoy a game of cricket with his co-workers and was too intoxicated to drive home so his co-workers took him to a relative’s house on the East Bank of Demerara.
The man subsequently returned with a taxi to collect the vehicle Sunday morning but to his surprise, it was not there.
Police are investigating.
