Twenty-one-year-old Satesh ‘Kevin’ Sookdeo met his gruesome death when he tried to save his father’s spouse who was being choked and assaulted.
Police Headquarters said that Kevin’s 44-year-old father was in an argument with his wife at their 217 Fifth Street, Foulis, East Coast Demerara home at around 20:35hrs Saturday when he held the woman by the neck and began to choke her.
It was then that Kevin and another sibling intervened and the suspect allegedly broke a louver pane and fatally stabbed Kevin in the stomach.
The body is presently at the Georgetown Public Hospital mortuary awaiting a post-mortem.
