A black Toyota Rav 4, which was reported stolen from the VIP parking lot of the Guyana National Stadium, has since been recovered.
According to the 34-year-old owner of Carmichael Street, Georgetown, he learnt on Sunday that the vehicle– PWW 3234 – was removed by a co-worker and parked at the Ramada Princess Hotel at Providence, East Bank Demerara for security reasons.
The man had reported to police that he drove the vehicle to the Stadium to enjoy a game of cricket with his co-workers on Saturday and was too intoxicated to drive home so his co-workers took him to a relative’s house on the East Bank of Demerara. Upon returning to collect the vehicle Sunday morning, it was not there.
