Canada seizes 81 kilos cocaine from Guyana

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Canada Border Services Agency have seized 81 kilos of suspected cocaine concealed in a vessel from Guyana.

The Canadian police reported that the seizure was made at Port of Valleyfield on September 17 and was reportedly heading for the Toronto and Vancouver markets.

Four people were arrested, two of whom were charged with conspiracy to import drug for the purpose of trafficking: Roldan De Gorio Tito, 36, and Nazir Ahmad Hussain, 48.

The investigation is ongoing.
