Drugs, weapons found at Lusignan Prison Holding Bays
A large quantity of contraband items including drugs and weapons were discovered during a raid at the Lusignan Prison Holding Bays Monday.

A Joint Services operation conducted the search between 12:00hrs to 14:50hrs, the Guyana Police Force (GPF) said.
A total of 60 improvised weapons were seized along with six scissors, a knife, chopper and a quantity of razor blades.
About 85 grammes of cannabis was also confiscated.
There were also 18 cellular phones, 15 SIM cards, several chargers, and earpieces, four lighters, two tattoo machines and $3,040 in cash.
