A 24-year-old labourer of Guyhoc Park, Georgetown was Monday morning arrested by Police after he was found with an unlicensed 9MM pistol with 12 live matching rounds.
The suspect was arrested outside of a Night Club located at Sussex and Hogg Streets, Albouystown at about 03:20 hrs.
Police said the suspect was observed standing in front of the club but as officers approached he quickly dropped an object which was immediately retrieved and found to be the unlicensed weapon and matching rounds.
The suspect is being processed for court, Police said.
