A post mortem has found that Sherwin Apple, whose body was found on the Kitty, Georgetown foreshore on Tuesday, died from drowning due to compression injuries to the neck.
Apple called “Yellow” was being sought by police in connection with a viral sex video involving one female and two males. In the video, it is alleged that the woman pleaded with the men to stop, but they continued, amounting to rape.
The Police said the body was handed over to the family for burial on a later date.
Police sources indicated he died sometime between 19:00hrs Monday and 09:20hrs Tuesday.
The body was found with the face down in the mud. No marks of violence was seen on the exposed parts of the body and blood was seen running from his nostril.
Efforts to confirm whether the police have begun investigating possible foul play in the incident proved futile.
