A 20-year-old Mason of Meadowbrook Gardens was on Sunday robbed of two phones valued at $74,000 while casting a yard at North Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
Reports are that Collie Grant was approached by two men, who were armed with a knife and a handgun, demanding $300,000 cash.
The suspect carrying the firearm also took out the weapon and dealt the victim a lash to his face and demanded that he hand over all his valuables. Grant handed over one IPhone S5 value $35,000 and one Samsung GalaxyJ3 Emerge value $43,000.
He was at the time working with another mason.
The incident occurred at about 12:00hrs on Sunday.
A report was made at the East La Penitence Police Station and an investigation was launched.
