Intense rivalry expected at Business School Day of Sports

The books will be given a rest on Thursday (October 4) when students from the Business School retreat from the classrooms and venture to the Georgetown Football Club, Bourda, for the annual Day of Sports.

Student/athletes from Hibiscus, Violet and Rose Houses will compete for supremacy with action set to start at 09:00h.

Among the top athletes set to feature is Jermaine Padmore, a national Under-17 footballers. Track athletes Adriel Austin, Benel Ogle and Kennard Harlog, who were all called up for the CARIFTA Youth Games, will also look to hit the podium.

The activities on Thursday would include 1200m cycling; 1000m, 800m, 200m and 4x100m relay races for both male and female; and seven-a-side small goal football.

Tickets to the event is G$500 and they can be purchased at the school’s office on Brickdam, Georgetown.
