A dredge owner is wanted by authorities after he allegedly air shuttled some 2.2 kilograms of marijuana to his child mother.
Leisa Bessessear of Shell Road Kitty, was taken into custody on Wednesday after she attempted to uplift the illegal drugs at the Ogle Airport, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
Her child father, Terrence Bowman, of Arakaka North West District, is being sought by the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU).
Reports are that Bowman sent vis the Sky West Charter Service, using a Trans Guyana Plane, a Styrofoam box containing clothing and other items, together with four parcels of suspected marijuana.
When Bessessear attempted to claim the package, she was intercepted by CANU ranks and the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) Customs officials.
