Police are investigating the alleged murder of 22-year-old Morgan Gonsalves, a Guyanese man, who resided in Bonfim, Brazil.
News Room understands that Gonsalves, who worked as a Labourer, left his Bonfim residence to go to the Marlon’s Night Club at Tabatinga, Lethem on Saturday night but never returned home.
His brother, who is a 24-year-old Salesman, decided to mount a search on Sunday when he stumbled upon Gonsalves’ body in a pool of blood along the trail, about 150 meters before the nightclub.
Local authorities said that they found an “abrasion-type wound” to the left side of his head and several other small abrasions on other parts of his body.
The body is at the Lethem Regional Hospital awaiting a Post Mortem Examination.
