Guyana Jaguars recorded a third straight win, beating defending champions Windward Islands Volcanoes by 93 runs in the Super50 on Thursday in Trinidad.

Jaguars made 231 all out, a total that could have been much higher, as opener Trevon Griffith and Sherfane Rutherford added 121 in 17.1 overs.

Rutherford topscored with 69 off 61 balls (10x4s, 1×6), while Griffith made is first substantial score of the season, an attractive 64 off 73 balls (6x4s, 1×6).

But only Christopher Barnwell with 29 and Raymon Reifer with 28 got going after, as Larry Edwards picked up 4-34 and Shane Shillingford 3-47.

Ramaal Lewis then bagged 4-25, Veerasammy Permaul 3-32 and Ricardo Adams 2-22 as Volcanoes were dismissed for 138 in 36.3 overs. Kirk Edwards scored 29.

With the win, Jaguars remain in second position in Group A on 15 points, three behind leaders Trinidad and Tobago Red Force, who have won all four of their games.
