Over 35 vehicles impounded in major traffic clampdown

A traffic exercise, led by Traffic Chief Superintendent Linden Isles and his Deputy, Deputy Superintendent, Dennis Stephen resulted in over 35 minibus drivers being hauled before the Traffic Headquarters in Georgetown and their vehicles impounded.

Police Headquarters revealed that the exercise was conducted on Saturday between 7:30am-9:00am in Georgetown.

The vehicles were impounded for various traffic offences such as; breach of conditions of road service licence, tint, unlicensed conductor, untidy driver, wrapped vehicles, uncertified vehicle, amongst numerous other offences.

The Traffic Chief informed the drivers that at 1pm today, their vehicles will be inspected by the Licence and Certifying Officer for further actions to be taken.
